A: This is completely normal! High-quality cotton often has a starchy feel straight from the package due to sizing applied during manufacturing to protect the fibers. This will wash out completely after the first or second wash, revealing the true, wonderfully soft feel of the fabric.

Q19: My linen product shed some lint in the first wash. Is this a defect?
A: No, this is typical for natural linen and cotton. A small amount of "pilling" or lint shedding in the first few washes is normal and will diminish over time. This is just the excess fibers from the weaving process coming loose.
